The survey is based on interviews conducted in over 10,000 households in the five-county area of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Even with this large sample size you may encounter some problems with sample size, particularly when examining subgroups within one or two ZIP codes. We highly recommend that you never perform an analysis of the data on only a few ZIP codes. To help you, we have added an icon on the data table that shows the total for the population in question. However, some subgroups may still have smaller samples. If a sample size derived from your selected population group is somewhat small it may not provide a strong basis for conclusions; you should definitely consider increasing the sample size in these cases by adding additional relevant zip code tracts to your query. We recommend that when looking at smaller geographic areas that you interpret the data with caution.
